Tsitsipas put an end to the course so far without fault of Rublev, who had not lost a set in Astana and had been expeditious against the Frenchman Adrian Mannarino (51e) in the quarter-finals (6-1, 6-2).
Broken from the start in the first set, which was generally dominated by the Russian, Tsitsipas tied the game in the second, winning after breaking at 5-4, before cracking Rublev, inconsistent in the final set.
For his sixth final of the season, the Greek, who won two titles in Mallorca and Monte-Carlo, will face Serbian Novak Djokovic (7e) or the Russian Daniil Medvedev (4e).
