State of play of women’s football tournaments in Alsace

This is excellent news for European women’s football. Europe’s biggest sold-out stadium to cheer on the women’s teams. In fact, 92,000 people went to Camp Nou, Barcelona’s legendary stadium, to watch the quarter-final of the Women’s Champions League between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid.

On a completely different scale, but just as symbolic, women’s football tournaments in Alsace are increasingly popular. And there are many competitions organized in our region, which bring the passion for football to life among young players.
In particular thanks to the District Alsace which, through its feminization commission, promotes the activity as close as possible to the amateur public.
Samuel Vacant, one of its members, will explain the diversity of these tournaments to us, before welcoming Barbara Shuster, journalist at DNA who will also help us draw up the table of Alsatian women’s football competitions.
Also this Wednesday, we continue to discover the amateur club in the spotlight this week, US OBERLAUTERBACH-EBERBACH, Youssef Kabel, the manager of the women’s U15 team, will present the section he leads.
