In the United States, the vaccination campaign for children aged 5 to 11 has started. In all, 28 million little Americans are now eligible.

Like her, five other children, aged 5 to 11, were vaccinated. The American authorities have given the green light for the vaccination of children. To the four corners of the country, the vials are shipped by the millions, with an orange cap for children, because the dosage has been adapted: 10 micrograms per injection, or three times less than for an adult. But is there a risk of serious side effect for children? On this sensitive subject, the authorities are trying to reassure, saying that there is no “no severe complications” in the trials for this vaccine. Despite everything, alone “57% of American parents say they are ready to have their children vaccinated without any hesitation”, underlines journalist Anne-Claire Poignard, live from Washington.
