This year, to preserve harmony between the teachers, production has decided to put everyone in tune!
Inflation? Nothing noticed! For the teaching team of the Star Academy, this new year would rather rhyme with… shielded bank accounts. Because for those who were there last year, the increase would be a real pleasure to the wallet. Thus the singing teacher, Adeline Toniutti, was paid 6,000 euros for 6 weeks for her first contract. This time, it would be 36,000 euros for 12 weeks!
In other words, it’s three times better paid… Same for the famous Coach Joe, who benefits from exactly the same salary increase. Another big increase, that of the theater teacher, Pierre de Brauer, who goes from around 5,000 euros for 6 weeks, to 24,000 euros for 12. That’s more than double! The two tutors, Lucie Bernardoni and Marlène Schaff, make the same leap. As for the new ones, things are good too. The stage expression teacher, Cécile Chaduteau, will thus pocket 24,000 euros she too, while Laure Balon had only won 6,000 euros the 6 weeks. But as in everything, there must be exceptions. If the director, Michael Goldman, keeps the same salary of 5,000 euros during the week, the one who now teaches dance to academics would lose out compared to her predecessor Yanis Marshall.
He declared that he had been paid 50,000 euros for 6 weeks. Malika Benjelloun would only receive 30,000 euros for 3 months! It must be said that she is “only” a teacher, while Yanis also did the choreography for the bonuses. But his salary remained much higher than those of the other professors, and that would not have been unrelated to his ouster… There, at least, everyone is on a roughly equal footing. So no jealous people or future divas to deal with.
