The more the season of “Star Académie” progresses, the more the Academicians must come close to perfection to keep their place at the Waterloo Academy. At the end of a sequence of astonishing evaluations, Lara Fabian announced that Édouard, Julien and Olivier will be in danger during the next variety.

Julien Charbonneau had chosen to sing “Weird Fishes”, by Radiohead, while accompanying himself on the piano. A false good idea as much in the choice of the song as in the instrumentation. “I didn’t like it that much,” said Gregory Charles. I do not see the relationship between this interpretation and the song that exists at the start.
Lara Fabian also indicated that she would like to see him sing more simply, by purifying the notes and the flourishes. His challenge will also be to manage to create a closeness with the public during his solo.
A surprising choice
Olivier Bergeron’s evaluation seemed to have gone rather well, as he sang “Mappemonde”, by the Boulay Sisters. Guylaine Tremblay sent her a string of compliments. “You kill me every time, she confided moved. You have emotional intelligence. I am gripped by the truth of your interpretation.”
Gregory Charles wrote “Penetrating Truth” on his sheet, and the headmistress repeated to him that she loved him.
Despite all his accolades, the little guy from Kedgwick, New Brunswick, is in danger due to a rhythm problem. The teachers are hard to follow in their choices of endangerment, or we will put the blame on the assembly.
For his part, Édouard Lagacé seemed on autopilot during his assessment of the song “I love him to die”, by Francis Cabrel. Gregory’s non-verbal attitude was unmistakable.
“I’m a fan of Edouard and it wasn’t my day,” he began. There are plenty of cases that have failed. The good news is that you know how to stop going through this. We’ll say it was an accident.”
The protected
Éloi dared and his audacity paid off. He interpreted the long and difficult song “Fernand” by Alexandre Poulin. “At the age you have, you are able to take an interest in the notion of real wealth, analyzed Lara Fabian. At the same time, you are not yet mature enough to go further.
Guylaine drove the point home by telling him that everything is still in the making at home.
Coming out of his evaluation, Jeremy was surprised because, for the first time, the teachers had no bad comments following his interpretation of “Somebody Like You”, by Keith Urban.
“You were filled with joy and commitment, welcomed the director. We wanted to listen to you.”
The three guys in danger will have to choose the right song to convince the public and the teachers, next Sunday, when they will receive Stromae and Milky Chance, and they will present an original number imagined by the guest artistic director, Serge Denoncourt.
