Stanislas Guerini accuses Rachida Dati of being “a stakeholder”, she calls on him to “take the voice of women seriously”

The delegate general of La République en Marche Stanislas Guerini denounced, this Monday on franceinfo, the concomitance between the accusations of sexual and moral harassment targeting Gilles Le Gendre and the electoral calendar. He accused Rachida Dati, who reported the matter to the courts, of being “stakeholder”.

“I received a letter from Madame Dati at the end of last week, she does not give many details on the facts, she tells me that she has taken legal action. So that justice can do its job. ( …) It is quite concomitant with an election in a district in which Madame Dati is involved”, he commented. Gilles Le Gendre is the majority candidate in the second constituency of Paris which includes the 7th arrondissement, of which Rachida Dati is the Les Républicains mayor.

Stanislas Guerini said he had not contacted Gilles Le Gendre to talk about these accusations since he was informed of them at the end of last week and assured that he had not been aware of acts of harassment on his part before that .

On Twitter, at midday, Rachida Dati challenged the new Minister of Transformation and the Public Service, pointing out to him: “Taking women’s voices seriously is not your priority Stanislas Guérini! You are taking legal action, but then why did you invest Gilles Le Gendre [pour les législatives] ? These serious facts against women are known and you know it.”

In mid-May, Stanislas Guerini had already been strongly criticized after comments about Jérôme Peyrat, who was then still a candidate for La République en Marche in the fourth constituency of Dordogne. The general delegate of the majority party had estimated on franceinfo that Jérôme Peyrat, convicted of domestic violence, was a “honest man” and said he didn’t believe him”not capable of violence against women”. Stanislas Guerini apologized a few hours later.
