The crossing of illegal migrants across the border between the United States and Mexico divides the United States. Several governors oppose Joe Biden.

In Texas, hundreds of migrants illegally cross the border between Mexico and the United States. Facing them, barbed wire and overwhelmed police. On the one hand, Joe Biden is negotiating a bipartisan deal to secure the border. On the other side, 25 Republican governors are leading the revolt, while the Supreme Court asks the governor of Texas to remove the barbed wire that hinders the border police. The elected official refuses and adds new barriers, defying the federal state.

Donald Trump opposes new law

A few months earlier, he had made himself known by sending buses full of migrants to New York. Some governors say they are ready to send their own national guard to support Texas. A few days earlier, Donald Trump came to galvanize the most conservatives in his party by opposing any new law. “It’s a politically difficult position for a president. To see his authority weakened by governors in the country”says Casey Burgat, assistant professor of law at George Washington University.
