Stade de Reims settles for a point against Brest after a lively match (1-1)

Guaranteed sensations… This Sunday, the spectators of Delaune were not bored, during the 25th day of Ligue 1. Despite the announcements, no wind from the North or thunder from Brest. And yet, the Reims house was shaken several times. It finally held up well and could even have hoped for better. It must be said that the afternoon had started strong. Leaving with good intentions, the Rémois quickly opened the scoring thanks to Wout Faes, on receiving a well-taken corner. In confidence, the proteges ofOscar Garcia took advantage of a few spaces in the Breton defense to take the depth. On one of these actions, Hugo Ekiike leaves alone facing Bizot and finds the post. But above all, it holds the back of the thigh. Its release is inevitable.

From then on the meeting turns. Brest gains confidence and is more dangerous. On a good action, the rookie Martin Satriano concludes perfectly and equalizes. What to fear the worst for the future. Relaunched, the Bretons continue their efforts after the break. And on a clumsiness of Wout Faes, Franck Honorat obtains a penalty. It was without counting on a Predrag Rajkovic decisive in repelling Youcef Belaïli’s attempt. Not enough to stop the Brest wave. But neither Martin Satriano with a header on the crossbar, nor Hugo Magnetti from a distance on the post, managed to change the score. Brest had missed its chance. Reims intended to take advantage of it, without more success. However Fraser Hornby had found Mitchell Van Bergen to score at close range. But the goal will eventually be disallowed for offside and nothing else will be scored. But the solidarity, the state of mind, the collective percussion of the last twenty minutes, with a lot of youth, should offer good hopes for the future. The rest is Monaco in a week.
