The man suspected of attacking an SPVM investigator last week has been arrested.

Raheem McDonald appeared Saturday morning in Montreal. The 27-year-old is charged with assaulting a peace officer and failing to appear or surrender.
The prosecution opposed his release and his pending return is scheduled for Monday.
An investigator from the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) was allegedly violently assaulted by Raheem McDonald last Wednesday in LaSalle. The Detective Sergeant showed up alone at a victim’s home to deliver a subpoena.
As the veteran officer returned to his vehicle, the suspect allegedly hit him in the head.
Injured in one eye and suffering from a concussion, the detective sergeant in question was found on the ground at the intersection of St. Patrick and Stirling streets.
It was also agent Sanjay Vig, himself attacked last year, who was the first on the scene to help his colleague.
“As his attacker fled, he managed to get to his vehicle to reach his supervisor, who contacted 911. His injuries are not life-threatening and he was discharged from hospital early. of the night”, specified the media relations of the SPVM.
Raheem McDonald has already faced multiple charges of assault, assault with a weapon and breach of prescription last year.
