Spring weeks are back. They are also synonymous with the return of pollen, and therefore of allergies, which affect 25% of French people. Nine departments are already concerned. The peak is expected Thursday, March 24.

Until April, it is the cypresses or the birches that come to itch with their strongly allergenic pollen. “I have a fever, my eyes are burning, I have a runny nose”says a woman. “It can ruin days when I won’t be able to open my eyes, I’ll see blurry all day”reports another. In consultation, Hugo came to take stock with his mother. He has had symptoms of a pollen allergy for three months.

Currently, the concentration of pollen is maximum for cypress. True desensitization lasts three years. Sometimes it has to be renewed. Some common sense advice should also be adopted in order to limit the effects of allergies. “Avoid going out during periods when pollination is intense (…) avoid hanging out your laundry at these times. When you have finished your outdoor activities, shower and wash your eyes and nose”advises Nicolas Pagespharmacist.
