While the murderous shooting in a school in Texas has once again thrown the United States into mourning, the “Special Envoy” team proposes to broadcast two reports on traffic and arms control in France and the permission in Texas to carry weapons for teachers and students.
Are the French more armed than it seems? Between hunters and licensees in shooting clubs, which have been increasing steadily for ten years, weapons circulate in France in a completely legal manner. But is it safe? What controls exist? Armed fugitives, entrenched shooters, hidden militants of the most extreme causes, “Special Envoy” investigated in this France which sometimes unpins.
A report by Clément Le Goff, Giona Messina and Gaëlle Pidoux.
Guests: Yves Gollety, gunsmith; Laurent Nuneznational coordinator of intelligence and the fight against terrorism.
USA: teachers at the school of arms
Faced with the resurgence of mass shootings in schools, in 2007 Texas allowed teachers to carry guns inside classrooms. Since then, across the United States, about twenty other States have legislated in this direction. A team of “Special Envoy” filmed a teacher in the state of Ohio. Diana will have to use her weapon in the event of a shooter bursting into the school, when her students are only 7 and 8 years old. In his establishment, around forty teachers and educational staff have undergone training in the handling of weapons.
In August 2016, the State of Texas took a new step by allowing students to carry a weapon in universities. A highly contested decision on the Austin campus, where “Special Envoy” followed a student who attends his classes with his weapon.
A report by Kristian Autain, Loup Krikorian, Edouard Piquereau and Nils Montel.
Does the car drive us crazy?
A young woman who has her jaw broken because of a honk, a cyclist beaten up because of a wave of the hand, after two years of life in slow motion, violence at the wheel is on the increase. But beyond these extreme acts, we feel a tension on our roads between motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Why do even the calmest of us lose our temper in cars? What gets us out of our gongs while driving?
A report by Olivier Sibille.
Guest: Aya Kadri, VTC driver.

Here as elsewhere, the left hopes to take its revenge…
