Spain finds the way to victory. After two draws for their first two group games, Sergio Busquets’ teammates finally launched their Nations League campaign by winning a narrow victory in Switzerland, at the Geneva stadium (1-0).

Former Parisian Pablo Sarabia scored the only goal of the match in the 13th minute of play, on a deflected ball at close range after a poor clearance from the Nati goalkeeper. Thanks to this success, La Roja moved up to second place in Group 2 with five points on the clock. The Swiss are dead last.

The good operation of the evening goes to Portugal, easy winner of the Czech Republic at home in Lisbon (2-0). Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammates, aligned in attack, folded the meeting in five minutes shortly after the half-hour mark. Cityzen Bernardo Silva was particularly illustrated, decisive passer on the two goals of Joao Cancelo (33rd) and Gonçalo Guedes (38th). With two wins in three games, the Portuguese remain solid leaders of group 2.
