The collapse occurred late Thursday afternoon in a restaurant located in this area very popular with foreign tourists, when the high season had already started, according to local media.

Several firefighters, Palma police officers and ambulances went to the scene, according to the same source.

The Balearic Islands, known for their crystal clear waters and beaches, are Spain’s second largest tourist destination after Catalonia. In 2023, they welcomed more than 14 million tourists, according to official figures.
