Two teams favorites for final victory against two teams already happy to have left the groups. The two round of 16 finals, Sunday June 30, offer fairly unbalanced results on paper. Georgia created a surprise by exiting its group for its first international competition and will cross paths with Spain, the only team to have won its three group matches. In the other meeting, England will try to offer something other than in the group stage, against Slovakia.

The poster not to be missed: Spain-Georgia at 9 p.m.

Will the underdog of this Euro create a new feat? After beating Portugal (2-0), Willy Sagnol’s team is tackling a new mountain. With its two talented attackers Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Georges Mikautadze and its goalkeeper – among the best in the competition so far – Georgia will try to bother the Spanish.

But since the start of the Euro, La Roja has impressed. With a midfielder made up of Fabian Ruiz, Rodri and Pedri, which recalls the best days of Spain and two virtuoso wingers (Nico Williams and Lamine Yamal), Luis de la Fuente’s men have arguments to go very far.

Team to watch: England take on Slovakia at 6 p.m.

Will Gareth Southgate’s men finally offer some play? During the group stage, the English were very disappointing. With an extraordinary squad, the Three Lions never seemed capable of playing as a team. With only two goals scored in three matches, England will have to reinvent themselves to find the fault against Slovakia.

For their part, Milan Skriniar’s teammates will have to keep up their efficiency if they want to continue their adventure. With an average of four shots on target per match, the Slovaks have scored in each game. If they qualify, Slovakia would reach the quarter-finals of a major competition for the first time in their history.
