Missed again. The SpaceX rocket that was supposed to carry a billionaire, a pilot and two employees on a groundbreaking space mission that includes the first private spacewalk in history saw its launch postponed again on Wednesday, August 28, “due to adverse weather conditions expected in the landing areas”.

After an initial postponement linked to the detection of a leak on Tuesday, “We are giving up today’s and tomorrow’s take-off slots [la fusée] Falcon 9 for Polaris Dawn”Space X announced. Teams continue to monitor weather conditions for favorable takeoff and return conditions.”the company added, on the platform of its founder, X.

The commander of this five-day mission is American billionaire Jared Isaacman, who has been working with Elon Musk’s company for several years. The trip is intended to serve in particular to test SpaceX’s very first spacesuits. The spacewalk is to be broadcast live on the third day of the mission. It is also the first time that SpaceX employees will go into space: Sarah Gillis is in charge of astronaut training and Anna Menon worked for NASA before joining SpaceX. The fourth person on board is pilot Scott Poteet, a former US Air Force member and close to Jared Isaacman.
