Alan Petre, 24, is from Seine-Saint-Denis. He is planning to become an aerospace engineer at NASA in California (United States). “It’s a source of pride. When you come from this department, you don’t necessarily think about having these kinds of opportunities. You tell yourself that it’s perhaps impossible, that it’s a dream that’s unattainable. “I tried everything and it paid off”

The young man insists: “Nothing is impossible. You have to stay motivated, have ambition, always aim as high as possible.” According to him, “you should not create barriers for yourself.” Joining NASA was a childhood dream for Allan Petrewho remembers a school trip in primary school to observe the stars.

“I started in DUT GEA [gestion des entreprises et des administrations]. This year was pivotal for me. I don’t regret going through that, because it allowed me to really be 100 % fully”, explains Allan Petre. After integrating ArianeGroupone of his dreams, he tried his luck in the United States. “I tried everything and it paid off”he marvels.
