François Legault, with his sovereignist past, should hang up his Captain Canada tights since he is “in no way credible” to defend the Canadian federation in the face of the Parti Québécois project, considers Marc Tanguay.
“The Liberal Party of Quebec is the only clearly federalist party,” insisted the leader of the official opposition during a press briefing at the National Assembly.
According to Mr. Tanguay, the update of the finances of a sovereign Quebec presented Monday by Paul St-Pierre Plamondon has the advantage of making things clear in view of the next elections in 2026: “a vote for the PQ is is a vote for a referendum on separation,” he said.
