(Seoul) South Korean actor Lee Sun-kyun, famous for his role in the film “Parasite” which triumphed at the 2020 Oscars, was found dead in conditions akin to suicide, reported Wednesday l South Korean news agency Yonhap.
The 48-year-old actor was found inside a vehicle in the center of the capital Seoul, with a lit charcoal briquette next to him, Yonhap said, citing police.
Lee Sun-kyun was under police investigation on suspicion of using cannabis and other psychotropic drugs.
This scandal tarnished his image as a successful actor, depriving him of television appearances and advertising contracts, according to several South Korean media.
