Another night of strikes and destruction of Beirut took place. The bombings targeted Hezbollah’s stronghold and several of its leaders, according to the Israeli army.

Midnight: this is the hour that the inhabitants of Beirut now fear with the sprays of flames, the sound of strikes and the trembling walls. Last night, Israeli raids, among the most massive in recent times, fell on the southern suburbs and on the stronghold of Hezbollah. When morning comes, the targeted neighborhood is silent and the ruins are still smoking. In one of the destroyed buildings, the Israelis were probably targeting the successor to Hassan Nasrallah, head of the Islamist group. It is still unclear whether the strike hit its target.

In the Christian neighborhood, Christian residents are commenting on their sleepless nights with their Muslim neighbors when suddenly, on the other side of the road, a new explosion rings out. A building near the University of Beirut was hit. In one year, in Lebanon, hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel have caused nearly 2,000 victims.
