Since Thursday January 11, the International Court of Justice in The Hague (Netherlands) has been judging a complaint filed by South Africa, which accuses Israel of violating the United Nations convention on genocide in its war against Hamas in Gaza.

Pretoria calls for immediate end to fighting in Gaza
Since Thursday, the Court in The Hague has been judging a complaint filed by South Africa, which accuses Israel of violating the United Nations convention on genocide. Pretoria has called for an immediate end to hostilities in the Gaza Strip. “No armed attack on the territory of a State, however serious it may be, even an attack involving atrocity crimes, can justify a violation of the Convention”, argued the South African Minister of Justice. The decision of the Hague Court is expected in the coming weeks.
