In his message, sent by email and published on the university’s website, the president of the Sorbonne Nouvelle Jamil Dakhlia deplores “the degradations committed in the Sorbonne by certain students and activists who came from particularly violent fractions” and that “must in no case be able to reproduce on the Censier site, because of its asbestos problems”while the campus is to move by the end of the academic year to Nation. “The courses and exams scheduled at Censier are held remotely.”

In addition, still in Paris, some of the students who blocked the historic site of La Sorbonne decided to leave the university buildings. Some of the young people remained in the premises, according to AFP. Classes are held remotely until Saturday, April 16. All the sites of this university, including that of Tolbiac, are closed to students but open to staff. Nearly 150 other students who blocked access to Sciences Po Paris were chased away by far-right activists on Thursday.
