Sophie Ferjani unveils her incredible fully renovated villa, an ideal place for her husband and their children

It has now been a good ten years since Sophie Ferjani evolves on our screens and gives us the benefit of his good decoration advice. The interior designer, best known for being Stéphane Plaza’s accomplice in House for sale on M6 decided a few years ago to settle in Marseille to open his office and his decoration concept store.

A professional project that has changed the life of her husband Baligh and their three sons Achille (15 years old), Gabriel (10 years old) and Célestin (6 years old). And they were right to trust him since the family found their cozy nest in the South. Indeed, Sophie Ferjani was keen to fulfill a dream: that of finding the perfect home. It was after two years of research that she came across this 19th century villa, nestled on the heights of the Phocaean city, near L’Estaque. The view of the Mediterranean Sea is simply breathtaking and the calm that reigns there is most serene. An idyllic setting which did not however attract the crowds. It must be said that the period building seemed to have been abandoned and was struggling to find a buyer. But where many saw a chasm of work, Sophie Ferjani, she had noticed her great potential and was not afraid of the challenge.

I who dreamed of a family home, I found it

She therefore bought the 280m2 house and embarked on a complete renovation, of which she shared each step with her community on Instagram until the final result (See our slideshow). “I learned about its history, its past. I didn’t break any walls, or make huge transformations. I just brought it up to date, we changed the electricity, the heating…“, she explained to Gala, the last issue of which was published this Thursday, June 30, 2022. Sophie Ferjani has indeed sought to preserve the authenticity of the house and has therefore not got rid of the original floors or the cement tiles or even the fireplaces outside of use. “Above all, I wanted to give it some color, that of Marseille“, she confided.
