After years at the helm of the show Deal Done broadcast on France 2, Sophie Davant recently announced her departure, in order to concentrate on new projects. “So, you may know, I had to stop presenting this show, which, like you, I love, so I’m giving my place to Julia. I’m giving her a nice gift because I think she will take as much pleasure as I do in presenting it” declared the host last August, thus revealing in passing that it was the host Julia Vignali who was chosen to replace her.
Two weeks later, on the set of TV Magazine’s Buzz interview, the pretty 62-year-old blonde reflected on her departure. “I didn’t want the viewers to feel betrayed, I wanted them to understand to what extent I was attacked by this program by telling them that I was not at all tired but that I had responded to another desire, to another desire”. And to add: “Watching the show is difficult for me. It’s a little painful for me”.
Five months after his departure fromDeal Done, has Sophie Davant managed to turn the page. This Wednesday, January 17, it was on the same set that we found her for an assessment. The host then admitted that she had a hard time coming to terms with her decision to leave. “The mourning was super painful, it was a terrible summer. […] But now I’m happy because the ratings have just fallen and that’s it, the show seems to be starting.” she confided.
Fortunately, the host has something to occupy her mind since she is now at the helm of a new show dedicated to animals, called In good company. “This magazine responds to a gap in public service and is of public interest. We are going to respond in a very concrete and educational way to the problems that arise when we have a pet.” she assured.
