The former president and CEO of Hydro-Québec, Sophie Brochu, has joined the multinational information technology consulting firm CGI to sit on its board of directors.

Ms. Brochu has thirty years of experience in the energy sector, notably managing the gas distributor Énergir before taking control of the state-owned company that she recently left.
“We are honored to welcome Sophie Brochu to our board of directors,” said Serge Godin, founder and executive chairman of the board of CGI, in a press release on Tuesday.
“His cutting-edge expertise in the energy sector as well as his experience leading large public and government organizations will greatly benefit our clients, our professionals and our shareholders,” added Mr. Godin.
