On the evening of Monday May 15, after the television interview with the President of the Republic, the great-nephew of Brigitte Macron was attacked by a dozen individuals in front of the chocolate factory Jean Trogneux, in Amiens, in the Somme.
Jean-Baptiste Trogneux, the great-nephew of Brigitte Macron, was assaulted in Amiens (Somme), on the evening of Monday May 15. Towards 10 p.m., he was returning home, just above the Jean Trogneux family chocolate factory. He was allegedly taken to task by a group of demonstrators who participated in a casserole, after the interview with Emmanuel Macron. For the victim’s father, his son escaped the worst. “They recognized him in the street. A dozen people approached him and started insulting him. One, more angry than the others, punched him in the face. a rampage, they got ten on it”he confides.
“Unacceptable actions”
Tuesday, May 16, Brigitte Macron denounced the cowardice of this group of individuals. Emmanuel Macron also supported Jean-Baptiste Trogneux. “He was assaulted because he is our great-nephew”declared the Head of State, who deplored “unacceptable and unspeakable actions”. The entire political class condemned this attack. Eight people were arrested and four will be brought to justice on Wednesday.
