Le Chic-Chac, a resort and off-piste skiing in Murdochville, continues to grow.
The small recreational tourism company has given itself a new headquarters, the village church. The building, acquired and renovated at a cost of $ 1.2 million, now houses a restaurant-bar, an auditorium, a shop and a rental service.
The Chic-Chac has also expanded its accommodation offer with the acquisition of the L’Olympique motel. The small building, located next to the church, was originally located in Lake Placid and had been used to accommodate athletes at the 1980 Olympics. It had been dismantled and reassembled in Murdochville. The Chic-Chac already offers accommodation in an inn, a former rectory and private houses.
The small company, founded in 2008 by Guillaume Molaison and Eloïse Bourdon, offers stays and packages focused on off-piste skiing. Its ski area includes three mountains in particular and can suit all skill levels. Among other things, it offers a snowcat transport service.
