Sunscreen, swimming after eating… Here are some tips to follow when going to the beach in the summer.
“At the beach, how often should you apply sunscreen?“Ideally, you should apply sunscreen 20 to 30 minutes before going out in the sun, and reapply every two hours. It is recommended to use generous layers, especially between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Be careful, if you go swimming, to always reapply sunscreen. They are not all waterproof, and this is true regardless of the SPF of the cream you use.
“Eat and bathe immediately afterwards, [cela] presents a danger?” In reality, our digestion lasts three hours, so there is no need to wait until then to swim. The real risk lies rather in the timing. Early afternoon, just after lunch and when it is hottest, presents a risk. At 2 p.m., the risk of hydrocution is multiplied. So be sure to enter the water slowly, and wet the back of your neck and stomach before entering.
