Businesses that rely on fuel are struggling with the shortage. Monday, October 10, the Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises (CPME) demanded the requisition of striking employees.

Taxis are at the stop in front of the Fleury-les-Aubrais station, in the Loiret. In difficulty, the drivers are struggling to refuel. Some face a dry breakdown. “Since this morning, I’ve been turning to find diesel. There, I can’t even take customers”, laments a parked taxi driver. Other taxis have only a few liters of fuel left to ensure a last day’s work.

In Île-de-France too, companies are beginning to suffer the consequences of the shortage. Émilie Prignot, a commercial director met by France Télévisions, thus arrived at work an hour late after having “does five gas stations”. “Tomorrow, I won’t be able to come to work if I can’t find gas tonight”entrusts Emilie Prignot. Faced with the fuel shortage, the return to teleworking is therefore preferred for some employees in France.
