The MP for Sainte-Marie-Saint-Jacques, Manon Massé, will not seek a new term as co-spokesperson for Québec solidaire (QS) in November.
Mme Massé will make the announcement on Tuesday in Montreal. The former parliamentary leader of the party, however, will end her mandate as a member. She does not announce that she is leaving politics.
The race to elect the next spokespersons will begin in August. The election will take place on November 26, at the QS convention. The current parliamentary leader Gabriel Nadeau-Dubois will run for his mandate to be renewed by the members.
