Four soldiers were arrested last week in Angers in Maine-et-Loire, according to the newspaper West France
. All are based in Tours, Orléans and Angers and they were arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking. These four men, aged 22 to 23, are accused of having made the “mule”: between Cayenne in Guyana, where they are from and the different cities.
One of the soldiers a Tourangeau is even suspected of having ingested cocaine, 70 eggs in total after a flight from Guyana. Once digested, it was obviously recovered and found by the investigators. They would have received 4,000 euros to play the “mule”.
The Angers prosecutor’s office has opened judicial information for drug trafficking. Three soldiers were placed in pre-trial detention, the fourth is under judicial control.
