After years of research, the authorities got their hands on Sofiane Hambli, at the head of a huge drug trade. Nicknamed “the chimera”, his career is marked by great manipulations.

Several tons of cannabis resin camouflaged and presented in the form of tomatoes. This cargo, to say the least astonishing, allowed the authorities to trace a man known in the world of drug trafficking: Sofiane Hambli. Considered elusive and nicknamed “the chimera”, Sofiane Hambli was arrested in Tangier, Morocco. A success for the police, who faced a man wanted by Interpol.

It is in the city of Mulhouse (Haut-Rhin) that drug trafficking begins for Sofiane Hambli. In 2002, he was sent to prison, but managed to escape on a motorcycle a year later. It manages its traffic between the south of Spain and Morocco, knowing all the loopholes. In 2010, arrested in Spain, he was offered to become an “indic” in order to reduce his prison sentence. But Sofiane Hambli manages to divert some of the drugs that should have been seized by the French authorities. An extradition request should be made by France in order to try the trafficker.
