The socialist deputy Jérôme Guedj made public, Wednesday January 24, on the social network “two missives” anonymous received “in the mail of the Assembly in recent days”with anti-Semitic content. “Another world is possible! Without the jokes like Jérôme Guedj”we can read in one, “you dirty fire [juif]“we can read in the other.
“Fuck you”responds the elected official of Essonne to the senders of these letters “high quality”. He also quotes the historian and resistance fighter Marc Bloch: “I only ever claim my origin in one case: in front of an anti-Semite.”
“I am with you”
Several political figures give him their support, on X. “Dear Jerome Guedj, all my support and friendship. Anti-Semitism at its worst”declares the first secretary of the Socialist Party, Olivier Faure. “You are right to let it be known that this level of anti-Semitic hatred exists in France. I am with you”writes La France insoumise (LFI) MP Raquel Garrido. “Horror and disgust”adds his LFI colleague Louis Boyard. “All my support Jérôme, it’s despicable!”reacts MoDem deputy Erwan Balanant.
