A 21-year-old native of Longueuil, Hosking scored 85.50 in her first of three outings on the track. This performance then gave her second place in the provisional general classification, behind the Chinese Cai Xuetong, who had recorded a score of 90.50.
Neither Hosking nor Cai managed to improve their score in their second and third performances, but they were able to maintain their podium position at the end of the competition.

Japan’s Mitsuki Ono finished third with a score of 83.00 on her second outing, ahead of compatriot Ruki Tomita, who scored 80.75 also on her second attempt.
