After starting to load snow following the first low pressure system, the City of Montreal is once again resuming its operations.
In an interview with TVA Nouvelles, motorists maintained that snow removal operations were not carried out following parking bans.
“This year, it’s worse than the last two, three years,” says a Montrealer.

“It’s been three days since they were supposed to have cleared the snow. They block the streets, they don’t clear snow. We come back in the evening, it’s blocked again. It’s hell,” accuses one man.
For its part, the City deploys 2,200 snow removal vehicles and 3,000 employees to carry out operations.
“We ask you immediately to be vigilant, to look outside [pour savoir] if there is an operation in progress. If there is an operation in your borough and the sidewalk is not acceptable, do not hesitate to contact the City,” recommends the administrative spokesperson for the City of Montreal, Philippe Sabourin.
The latter specifies that the boroughs cannot load snow if the sidewalks are not well cleared.
