Montreal will not load the snow that has fallen for 48 hours and is instead counting on the weather to get rid of it.
Around ten centimeters have fallen on the metropolis since Saturday.
“With the snow received yesterday evening and during the night, the teams worked to finalize the clearing of the streets and sidewalks in order to facilitate the movement of all users,” indicated Hugo Bourgoin, of the communications department of the City of Montreal.
“Considering the weather forecast for the next few days, when the mercury should be well above the freezing point with sunshine, it is not planned to carry out a full load of snow. »
Environment Canada forecasts that highs will range between 5 and 10 degrees Celsius all week.
