Snoop Dogg and his dance moves are the rhythm of the Olympic Games. From beach volleyball to horse riding, the rapper with millions of records sold has become the mascot of the United States in Paris. He makes no secret of his love for the Games. “All these people coming from all over the world, from different cultures, it represents peace, love and unity. That’s what the Olympic Games are about, it brings everyone together to celebrate love.”he says.
Although he is not a great sportsman, he was hired by the American channel NBC to commentate the events in an offbeat style. In Versailles (Yvelines), for the dressage competition, he dressed in full riding gear. The rapper entertains the gallery and gives of himself. He learns all the disciplines, from fencing to judo to swimming, with a certain Michael Phelps as his coach. During a beach volleyball match, he wore a t-shirt with the image of the American players. “I thought athletes would like to see their faces on my chest”he explained.
