SNCF calls to “travelers’ citizenship“.

SNCF explains on Saturday January 1 in a press release that it will apply the measures in force from Monday January 3 with “common sense and good judgment”, in particular the prohibition to remove the mask to consume food or drinks on board.

According to the SNCF, tolerance will be required “in particular to help quench thirst or to feed young children and vulnerable people“. The company calls, however, to “travelers’ citizenship”.
“Messages recalling this ban as well as the wearing of masks and barrier gestures will be regularly broadcast on board trains and in stations”, she adds. As for the catering services on board the TGV and Intercités, they will be closed from Monday January 3 to January 23. Wearing a mask will be compulsory for all travelers from the age of 6 at all times in stations and on trains.
