A little more patience before entering “Seine”. Train tickets departing from or arriving at three Parisian stations for the day of the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games will go on sale in mid-April. This waiting time is linked to the fact that “the Paris police headquarters has not yet completely completed its plan to secure the opening ceremony, and we will know at the beginning of April”declared the Minister of Transport, Patrice Vergriete, on TF1, Thursday March 14.

The SNCF in fact put its summer program on sale on Wednesday, with the exception of this date of July 26, which is nevertheless the Friday of one of the biggest crossover weekends for vacationers next summer , for the Paris-Gare de Lyon, Paris-Bercy and Paris-Austerlitz stations.

The Minister of Transport calls on people wishing to travel during the Olympics to “adapt” their “behavior”. “Maybe now is the time to get out your bike, because there will be no restrictions on walking or cycling”, excluding the opening ceremony, he advises. Scheduled on the Seine, the opening ceremony will see 326,000 spectators crowd the banks of the river to watch the parade of the different delegations by boat.
