SNCF, RATP, airports… Discover traffic forecasts in transport

The circulation of metros, RERs and trains will be very disrupted on Tuesday, for the sixth day of national mobilization.

Will the unions be able to “bring France to a standstill” as they aspire, Tuesday, March 7, especially in terms of transport? The SNCF and the RATP announced Sunday, March 5, the traffic forecasts for their networks: the circulation of trains in France will be “very disturbed” for the TGV as for the TER, and “very disturbed” in the metro and RER in Ile-de-France, for the sixth day of national strike against the pension reform project. In other cities and in several metropolitan airports, the situation will also be disrupted.

At the SNCF

The traffic will be “severely disrupted on all lines operated by SNCF Voyageurs”with one train out of five on average for TGV Inoui And Ouigo as well as for the TERaccording to the SNCF, all of whose unions have called for a renewable strike. Thalys And Eurostar are also concerned with two trains out of three which will run on average, while the France-Germany and France-Spain links will be completely interrupted.

On the side of Intercitiesthere will be “no traffic”Day and night, “with the exception of one round trip Paris-Brive, two round trips Paris-Clermont and normal Toulouse-Hendaye traffic by substitute coach”, writes the SNCF in a press release. Finally, regarding the traffic Transilien SNCF, one in three trains will run on railway lines H, K, U, one in five on RER C and D as well as on lines J, L, N, R, and one in ten on RER E and P line.

In urban transport in Ile-de-France

Overall, the RATP plans “very disrupted traffic” on the RER and metro. On the lines 1 and 14, the traffic will be normal, assures the RATP. On the line 4, the company plans two out of three trains, with an end of service scheduled for 10:15 p.m. On the line 6which will run from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., there will be one train in three during peak hours and one train in four during off-peak hours.

Several metro lines will only operate during extended peak hours. This is the case of lines 2 (every third train from 5:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.), 5 (one train out of three from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and one train out of four from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) 7 (one in four trains from 7 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and from 4.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.), 7a (every other train from 7 a.m. to 9.30 a.m. and from 4.30 p.m. to 7.30 p.m.), 9 (one in three trains from 6:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.), 10 (every third train from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.).

Other lines will only be partially open, during extended peak hours. There line 3 (one in three trains between Pont de Levallois and Havre-Caumartin from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.), the line 11 (one train on the entire line from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and one train out of three between Belleville-Mairie des Lilas from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.), the line 12 (one in four trains between Mairie d’Issy and Concorde from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) and line 13 (one in three trains on the two branches to Duroc from 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.) are in this case.

On the line 3 bisone out of three trains will run in the morning on the entire line, while one out of three trains will run between Créteil-Pointe du Lac and Reuilly-Diderot from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., on the line 8.

On the side of the RER operated by the SNCF, one in three trains will run on RER A and B. Concerning the RERs of the RATP network, it will be necessary to count on average one train out of two at peak times and one train out of four at off-peak times on the RER A and one in two during peak hours and one in three during off-peak hours for the B. On the C-line, one in five trains will run, while there will be no traffic between Paris Austerlitz and Pontoise/Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines/Versailles Rive Gauche. On the D-line, one in five trains will run without traffic between Goussainville and Creil, Juvisy and Corbeil Essonnes via Ris Orangis, Corbeil and Malesherbes, Corbeil and Melun. On average, three bus on four and three trams out of four will circulate on the entire network.

In the transport of large agglomerations

AT Marseillesthe Régie des transports métropolitains has not yet communicated the traffic forecast for Tuesday.

AT NiceLignes d’Azur has not yet released traffic forecasts for Tuesday.

AT Bordeaux, the majority of buses will operate but traffic will be at a standstill on ten lines, and reduced traffic on five others. In addition, the frequency of trams will be reduced on four lines and can be found on the Bordeaux Métropole transport site.

AT reindeer, bus lines will be disrupted all day. On the metro side, the Star has not yet communicated traffic forecasts for Tuesday.

AT LyonsKeolis has not yet released traffic forecasts for Tuesday.

At airports

In the air, the Directorate General for Civil Aviation has asked companies to reduce their flight schedules on Tuesday and Wednesday, by 20% at Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle and by 30% at Paris-Orly, Beauvais, Bordeaux, Lille, Lyon, Nantes, Marseille, Montpellier, Nice and Toulouse.

“Air France plans to operate nearly 8 out of 10 flights, including all of its long-haul flights”the company said, “however, last minute delays and cancellations cannot be ruled out”.
