With the explosion of Covid-19 cases, many French people find themselves teleworking again. Therefore, SNCF has decided to remove several trains from Monday January 10.

SNCF has decided to reduce its traffic from Monday, January 10, following a 30% reduction in reservations, generated by the Omicron variant. The railway company must also deal with positive cases among its agents. Ultimately, these withdrawals could cause last minute disruptions. The travelers concerned can be reimbursed or change their train ticket free of charge.

As for the Eurostar, travelers will only be able to benefit from one round trip per day, compared to the usual nine. While night train traffic will not be affected, TGV traffic will be reduced by 10% for TGVs, and 20% for Intercités. “I got an email yesterday saying my return from Paris to Brussels on Wednesday (…) so I’m on another train”, laments a traveler.
