Monday March 4, taxi drivers conducted a snail operation on the Paris ring road, but also in Rennes (Ille-et-Vilaine), Montpellier (Hérault) and Toulouse (Haute-Garonne). They demand medical transport with taxi sharing for several patients. “When technically and humanly possible, we do shared transport, but the compulsory nature will require our taxis to transport several types of patients, several pathologies”deplores a professional.
Remuneration too low according to drivers
By sharing a taxi with several people, the government wants to lower the bill for Social Security. In Nîmes (Gard), a little more than 150 taxis blocked the A9 motorway. They regret, with these measures, remuneration that is too low. This mobilization is not always understood by stranded motorists. “It penalizes us, who are going to work”regrets a woman.
