Smoke release | Service resumes on all three Montreal metro lines

Service was temporarily interrupted on three lines of the Montreal metro on Wednesday evening due to “smoke release”. The situation returned to normal in less than half an hour.

This is what the Société de transport de Montréal (STM) briefly indicated via its social networks, without giving further details.

On the orange line, the interruption was between the Montmorency and Côte-Vertu stations, i.e. on the entire route, while on the green line, the service was interrupted between Honoré-Beaugrand and Frontenac. The yellow line, for its part, was also completely paralyzed, between Berri-UQAM and Longueuil.

A resumption of service was initially planned for 8:40 p.m. This was done on the green line, but on the yellow and orange lines, users had to wait until a little after 9 p.m.
