Smog warnings lifted in Montreal, Gatineau and Trois-Rivières

The smog warning issued earlier this week by Environment Canada was lifted Wednesday morning in several communities in Quebec.

This was particularly the case for the regions of Montreal, Gatineau, Saint-Jérôme, Mont-Laurier, Joliette, La Tuque and Trois-Rivières.

On the other hand, at 5:30 a.m., the regions of Quebec, Saint-Georges, Granby, Sherbrooke and Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts were still subject to a smog warning. Others, such as Baie-James and Charlevoix, continued to be targeted by a poor air quality bulletin.

The international website IQ Air, based in Switzerland, described Montreal’s air quality as good on Wednesday morning.
