SM Caen recruits Djibril Diani: “a left-hander capable of projecting himself”

After a central defender (Adolphe Taikeu), the SM Caen finalized the recruitment of a versatile midfielder. The Norman football club has secured the services of Djibril Diani. This midfielder of one meter 95 played at Grasshopper Zurick (Switzerland).

“Djibril Diana is able to play as a sentinel but also a cut above in a two or three environment, details Yohan Eudeline. He can also help out behind. He is a slender boy who brings an additional solution to Stéphane (Mill).”

Younger but less experienced than a Franklin Wadja, Djibril diani is committed until 2024 (Two and a half seasons).

“It’s a different profile which brings size to the workforce, a left-hander capable of projecting himself”, specifies the sporting director of the SMC.

Trained in Lens, this defensive midfielder will have played for the France U16 team before leaving for Switzerland. Djibril Diani also played in Scottish D1 on loan with Livingston. He has played fifteen Swiss D1 matches since the start of the season, nine of which are titular.

If the administrative part is validated by then, Djibril Diani will be available to play from this Saturday’s meeting against Niort.
