Sloviansk, the new objective of the Russians

War is still raging in Ukraine. Tuesday, July 5, the city of Sloviansk, a new objective of the Russian army which is progressing more and more rapidly, was the target of bombardments which caused several deaths. According to local authorities, the Russians would use weapons that do maximum damage and sow terror.

The city had 100,000 inhabitants before the war, but faced with daily bombardments, they were called upon to evacuate. Russian troops would now be only fifty kilometers from the city. The local governor denounces intentional strikes where civilians gather. Russia now controls almost all of the Lugansk region and is seeking to do the same in the Donetsk region, with the goal of controlling all of Donbass.
