Slippery road gives motorists headaches

The slippery road caused a few accidents Monday evening in Quebec.

Winter is back with a vengeance and the snow has once again given less alert motorists headaches.

On Autoroute Charest Est, near the Blaise-Pascal exit, five vehicles collided, causing a major slowdown for other users.

According to the Sûreté du Québec, no one was seriously injured even though the occupants were transported to the hospital.

Three of the five vehicles involved had to be towed.

Everywhere on the road network, the maintenance teams have not been idle.

After two calmer days, the end of this week will be marked by a major depression in Quebec.

A first wave should appear on Thursday with snow. Mixed precipitation is expected depending on the sector.

In Quebec, about ten centimeters of snow are expected on Thursday and another five on Friday. Even the mercury will rise to 1°C.
