A tribute or a hidden message? Holiday season or not, Slimane never hesitates to speak his mind and it wouldn’t be surprising to learn that he needed to send a message to some of his haters. A few days ago, he banged his fist on the table when a statement by Yves Calvi deeply shocked him. Indeed, the journalist had wanted to launch a “call for calm” before the semi-final between France and Morocco in the semi-final of the World Cup. Some feared overflows and it is for this reason that the journalist wanted to calm the situation… in his own way.
“For the grumpy people who are worried about possible excesses, let’s remember that Morocco is not Algeria, we were not divided by a colonial war”he blurted out BFM-TV. Before adding: “Finally, the Moroccans are exactly like us in 1998, they have been waiting for a big victory for their team for so long…”. A declaration which did not fail to arouse the indignation of some and in particular Slimane.

Vitaa’s sidekick, who was definitely ending his duet with his friend after several years of collaboration, took over the sequence of Yves Calvi, described as racist towards the Algerian community, to post it in his Instagram story and accompany it by a caption that said a lot: “no, but still more…”
This Sunday, December 25, no settling of scores with Yves Calvi or turkey for Christmas. Slimane preferred to post a snapshot of him, shirtless, in order to raise the temperature in this winter period. But to accompany his photo, he chose a song by Diam’s (Mélanie: editor’s note), with a specific passage. “They said I was dead, they said I perished. I repeat to you that I am strong that I healed. They said that I had freaked out! Not there to wax their pumps From now on only my public counts. The light blinds them, they can say what they want!“, could we hear in the background. It remains to be seen whether this is pure coincidence or whether Slimane is preparing a big surprise to prove that he is not “dead”.
