It is a much shorter ceremony attended by millions of fans of the NRJ Music Awards. This Friday, November 10 on TF1, Nikos Aliagas was present from Cannes to present the 25th anniversary ceremony of the program, in the presence of some international stars, including Loreen, Maneskin and Mika. Puff Daddy was also present, but by video only. During three hours of show, several artists came to present prizes to the victorious candidates, including Indira Ampiot, Tianaa, Max Boublil, Kyo, Pierre de Maere, Zazie and La petite culotte. Only 11 categories were released until 12:15 a.m., the other seven being distilled in a small magneto called “They won too”, in order to shorten the ceremony, considered too long by many.
For the first time in his career, Vitaa is elected “French-speaking female artist of the year”, and obtained his 7th NRJ Music Awards (but his first alone, the other 6 being obtained as a duo with Slimane). The latter also achieved a new success, being crowned “French-speaking male artist of the year” on the one hand and “French-speaking collaboration of the year” on the other, with Claudio Capéo on the title At your place. He has a total of 8 NRJ Music Awards. Claudio Capéo wins the very first NMA of his career. The French-speaking revelation of the year is the Swiss singer Colorless night.
Eurovision winners are popular
For the third time, Dua Lipa is crowned “International Female Artist of the Year” and obtains her 4th Awards. For the seventh time, Ed Sheeran is the “International Male Artist of the Year” and obtains his 11th trophy; above all, he makes history by being the only artist to have obtained 7 trophies out of 7 nominations in the same category. The international revelation of the year is Swedish singer Loreenwho won Eurovision 2023 with his title Tattoo.
Bigflo & Oli were once again a hit and added two Awards to their collection: they were once again crowned “French-speaking Group/Duo of the Year” for the fifth time, and “French-speaking Clip of the Year” for Last. They accumulate, in seven ceremonies a total of 10 Awards : a historic record. International Group of the Year is once again imagine Dragonswho won this trophy for the 4th time, and has 5 in total.
Miley Cyrus wins the first NRJ Music Awards of her career
Miley Cyrus also won two trophies, those for “International Song of the Year” and “International Clip of the Year” for his title flower. This is the first time that the 31-year-old singer has won the NRJ Music Awards, despite his numerous nominations. The singer Rosalia wins its very first trophy in the “International Collaboration of the Year” category alongside Rauw Alejandro. It is also the case of Aqua and Tiestowhich are crowned “Recovery/Adaptation of the year”. David Guetta wins his 7th trophy and is crowned “DJ of the Year” for the second year in a row.
Finally, Jain wins “Social Hit” of the year with his hit Makebaalthough released in 2016 and which was a hit this year on TikTok. M Pokora continues to write its story with a 16th trophy (out of 21 nominations)that of the “French-speaking tour of the year”. Louane obtains her 3rd Awardsand for the first time that of the “French-speaking song of the year”, Secret, which she dedicated to her daughter Esmée. Finally, two Honorary Awards were awarded to Maneskinthe Italian group that won Eurovision 2022, and Puff Daddyfor his entire career.
