The Montreal International (MI) organization says it helped attract $3.58 billion in foreign investment to the metropolitan area last year, which represents a drop of 4.9% compared to 2021.

These investments will finance 102 projects, a record for MI in terms of business support. These projects should result in the creation of 8,287 jobs with an average salary of $88,000.
By 2022, the organization had worked on 100 projects worth a total of $3.77 billion that were expected to result in the creation of 11,550 jobs with an average salary of $82,000.
The investment project that attracted the most attention last year was that of vaccine manufacturer Moderna, which announced the construction of a plant in Laval.
