Many French people hesitate to take their car for the All Saints holidays, for fear of running out of fuel. Some tourism professionals have already recorded some cancellations.

The sun is shining in La Ciotat (Bouches-du-Rhône), Saturday October 15. Tourists took advantage of the water and the beach, almost like in the middle of summer. “We had gas in the car, so we take advantage. Then when there is no more, there will be more”says a woman. “Of course we are careful. But hey, we are not going to stay locked up because of the fuel crisis”adds another.

To each his parade to circumvent the shortage: carpooling for some, public transport for others. The restaurateurs, however, thought to make more figures during the day. “We know that we always have people coming, who take advantage as soon as there is a ray that arrives. And there, we expected a lot more”confides Audrey Gatt, who believes that she should have “do double” cutlery. In Saint-Cirq-Lapopie (Lot), the sun is also present. At this time, hotels are not yet receiving mass cancellations. If the service stations are supplied, the city can hope for a successful late season.
